Learning Beyond Home and School:
A Co-Learning Community for Curious Minds

Empowering children to explore, create, and grow through hands-on learning in nature and community.

About SOL

At SOL (Soul) Learning Center, we believe that learning is a journey—one that flourishes with the right care, environment, and community. Just as every plant needs sunlight, nourishment, and space to grow, every child needs Support, Opportunities, and Love to thrive. Our learners—whether they are Sprouts just beginning their journey, Seedlings finding their strengths, or Buds ready to bloom—are nurtured by our dedicated Gardeners (educators and mentors) who guide them with care, encouragement, and meaningful challenges.

 Co-Learning in Action

Learning at SOL takes place in an open-concept environment where children feel free to explore, create, and grow. Our yurt provides spaces for tinkering, collaboration, and relaxation, ensuring children feel comfortable and challenged. Our garden and outdoor areas serve as thriving ecosystems for hands-on learning, fostering a deep connection with nature. Co-learning is a community-driven experience, with parents actively participating through volunteering, facilitating workshops, and hosting activities.

Testimonials & Parent Voices

Tiffani Ross, Clinton

We love SOL Learning Center! After homeschooling our son for a few years, we needed additional support due to changes in our schedule. Meeting with Tatiana gave our family confidence that SOL was the right fit. Since joining, our son has made significant progress in reading, grammar, handwriting, and math. Beyond academics, he has gained confidence and developed social-emotional skills, regularly discussing themes like resilience, responsibility, and accountability.

Asha Eboni, Upper Marlboro

SOL Learning Center has been our homeschool Unicorn! It is exactly what our family has been looking for after YEARS of searching! Since joining SOL we have seen immeasurable growth in our little’s overall self concept and confidence. Evenstill, in one summer we saw immense progress with her academic skills and has now begun to initiate her own learning outside of the classroom environment. I would highly recommend SOL to anyone, like our family, who is looking for a seamless integration of culture, STEM and holistic learning.

My 10 yr old daughter attends the garden club at SOL Learning Center and she absolutely loves it. The instructor and children are really kind and welcoming. She enjoys the games and activities which make learning fun.
